Mercy Bakirya is currently enrolled at Iganga Progressive School where she is interested in history and economics. After graduating, she would like to continue on to university to become a lawyer. Mercy believes that as a lawyer, she will be able to settle disputes and create peace in Uganda. She says that the only obstacle in her way is her guardian’s inability to pay for higher education for herself and her 6 siblings.
