how you can help

Are you looking for a small charity that will ensure that your money is used as efficiently and effectively as possible? Uganda Village Project has an all-volunteer staff and spends no money on fundraising. That allows us to send nearly all of the money we raise towards our programs in rural Ugandan villages. Please consider supporting Uganda Village Project, and be confident that your money is being used in ways that will maximize its value - we believe our small organization is making a big difference. You can read more about our projects by exploring this website.

Scroll down to see our catalogue of items that can be donated. If you would like to make a general donation or specify your own amount, you may use the button at the bottom of the page or send a check to the address below with instructions on how you would like it used.

A drop in the bucket? As part of our Clean Water efforts, we are helping to increase awareness of a chlorination product called WaterGuard. Just bringing trained staff and volunteers to a village for an afternoon can be all it takes to educate villagers and drive demand for this simple product that could save the lives of millions of children. For just $10 you can fund an outreach session!

Help fill the bucket

Be a part of the ripple effect! Help the women and children who walk many kilometers to fill their bottles with water. Imagine balancing gallons of water on your head and you can see why having a nearby water source is so important to Ugandan families. $500 will build a shallow well for a village in rural Uganda.

Send an orphan to school
Help us to fund the education for teenagers in Uganda who have lost one or both of their parents. $100 will send a student to school for one year.

Learning is the greatest gift

Desks for our students!
Often students in Iganga are crowded into a tiny room without enough sitting space for each child. $30 will build a 3 seater desk for our students in the village (each desk is built by our sponsored vocational school students)

Give the gift of a goat
We have identified widows living in the villages who are some of the 'poorest of the poor.' A goat can give a widow and her family a source of income for years. $200 will provide a goat for one widow and her family.

Send a woman for life-changing surgery - We have established a connection with a hospital which will provide surgery to cure an obstetric fistula... all we have to do is get the women there! $25 provides round-trip transportation for a woman and an escort to the hospital for surgery.

Change a life

Let them sleep under a net - Malaria nets are crucial to protect families in the village from infection. Malaria infection can be fatal, particularly for babies and the elderly. Also, malaria costs a family days that could be spent working for more income. $6 provides a mosquito net to villagers at risk for malaria.

Prevent malaria
